Cooper City Officials caught in secret meeting-steal thousands from taxpayers!

I guess they just don't learn. The Ex-mayor and city attorney are liars. Based on this meeting, the city got away with stealing tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars in cash, in "plain white envelopes".... and the State Attorney will do absolutely nothing. Corruption prevails in Broward!

  1. This comment is extremely misleading. The City did not "fail to collect" tens of thousands of dollars. You are fully aware it involved HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars. Ha, nice try Commissioner!

On the SAO, we all knew prosecution was very unlikely for reasons related to burden of proof requirements and politics. But ultimately what is in the SAO final memo is vital. Were there significant Sunshine Law violations, but the SAO decided it could not prove the violations were intentional? If that's the case the final memo is still very significant.

  2. Prove intent? You got to be kidding. If you didn't do it then intention has no relevance. If on the other hand you did it does it really make any difference if you did not intent to do it but you did do it. Sounds like a political snow job to me. Maybe that why the politics of local government is so fouled up. Convoluted logic is not what the taxpayers need. Good Common Sense trumps the political snow job.
